The best that Montepulciano’s wine production offers comes from a careful vineyard management where each single vineyard represents a different wine:
Sangiovese, an expression of the local Tuscan tradition, the Canaiolo nero and the “international” Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, without neglecting the bouquet of aromas of Malvasia.
A choice based exclusively on quality with maximum yields from 400 to 600 kg per hectare, way below the amount laid down by the regulations and with a density of 4700 plants per hectare.
This is how the king of wines is born, the Vino Nobile Riserva Bossona of Montepulciano, the expression of the best terroir, the Rosso di Montepulciano, a wine with a complex structure, elegant and balanced, young, with a lively ruby red colour, vinous and fruity on the nose.
And then there is the Vino Nobile with its bright ruby colour and intense aromas of ripe cherry and plum.
The Martiena, a white wine which is harmonious and fruity on the palate, fresh and mineral, will never cease to amaze nor will the Sancta Catharina, a remarkable concentrated wine, with an aroma of black fruits, hints of chocolate with a long-lasting spicy finish.
The Vin Santo, heir to the Tuscan tradition, shows off hints of candied fruit and almond paste within its complexity.
