The Madonna della Querce has an intense, deep ruby-red color. The nose is wide and charming, the varietal notes are the master with ripe red fruit, jams, all accompanied by spicy notes of the wood that remanin in the background. The olfactory-gustatory link is perfect. The mouth is ethereal, long and mineral, the tannin of excellent workmaniship is dense and elegant but still sins of Youth. it will certainly improve with bottle aging.
Area of production: La Piaggia Vineyard, 1 hectar dated 2005, South exposition, 350 meters a.s.l., clayey/mixed tufaceous. Its composition of the soil is similar to Bossona’s Vineyard with sedimented sands with fossils.

Average grape harvest per hectar: 40 – 50 quintals/h
First 10 days of Oct; by hand, minimum twice; manual sorting of the bunch, destemming and automatic sorting ont he grain, manual finishing on the vibrating table.
Gentle pressing, almost absenting; fermentation in stainless steel tanks of 50 HL at a controlled temperature of 26-28° C; maceration between 25-35 days according to the vintage.
