A Passion Spanning 50 Years
It all began in 1964, when my grandfather, Alibrando Dei, with great foresight chose the lands of Bossona and planted the first vineyard there. In that untouched landscape, he discovered an extraordinary place, destined to give birth to great red wines.
In the 1970s, the estate expanded with the purchase of Villa Martiena and the surrounding vineyards, which today remain the beating heart of the winery.
But it was 1985—a memorable vintage—that marked a turning point: from that harvest came the first bottle of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano signed by the Dei family. That achievement was not only the result of passion and sacrifice, but also the beginning of a journey that continues to tell our story.
From one man’s dream to a family’s passion: for over fifty years, our wines have been telling the world the story of Montepulciano.
Over time, the winery has grown, combining winemaking tradition with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation. The historic vineyards have been joined by new plots, cultivated with care and respect, while the winery itself has become not only a place of production, but also a space for culture, music, and hospitality.
Today, guided by the same spirit that inspired Alibrando Dei, we continue writing this story with the same passion as then: the desire to give voice to a unique land through wines that embody elegance, harmony, and authenticity.
